Ep. 8: Dr. Antariksha Suryawanshi-Let’s Play Kabaddi
Today, I got a chance to speak with my senior and a good friend from my bachelor’s college DR. D.Y.Patil. It was so amazing to talk about sports and fitness with none other than a fitness and balance Guru. He is well known for training players in Pro-kabaddi and players in the Indian Cricket team. A simple philosophy to learn new skill sets and gain the knowledge to be a better therapist in the field of Sports and Medicine. Taking the message of educating yourself and learning new techniques so we do not have to reply on others when help is needed.

      Glute yes, but also your hamstrings and how they all tie in together for hip extension. Legs elevated to be able to get that hamstring activation and yes to make it more difficult.

    Great video. You touch on supplements briefly in the beginning of the video, but I'd be interested in hearing more about supplements. I read the study by Andrew Jagim titled "The acute effects of multi-ingredient preworkout ingestion on strength performance, etc..." I was curious what preworkouts were tested, or simply which ones are most worth the money based on ingredient types and doses. Maybe you two could cover preworkouts/ ingredients for sport performance.

    Hi! Can this taping be done for grade 3 tibial stress reaction injury?

    • @ClinicallyPressed
      @ClinicallyPressed 5 лет назад

      Joshua Lim it could potentially. You could try and manipulate the skin and underlying fascia by pulling superior/inferior/medial/lateral and have them go through some ankle lotion to see which way reduces pain. The decompression strips can then also reduce pain. It won’t “support” the tibia mechanically but can ultimately help with pain in the recovery process. Thanks for watching.

      I've heard good things about it, but I can't understand the difference between this and a stim machine

    • @ClinicallyPressed
      @ClinicallyPressed 6 лет назад

      From my understanding it uses more direct current and with that allows you to utilize more of the stimulation as it occurs with movement. I haven't ever tried doing a split squat or anything with a 'traditional' estim machine and using a 'Russian' current to replicate but the ARP seems to be designed specifically for that reason.

    • @JourneyDrummer1972
      @JourneyDrummer1972 6 лет назад

      You can get systems at $3,000 and do your own treatments with evaluations through video analysis. There's a company that will send equipment free for evaluation, then if ARPwave is right for you, you can keep equipment and commit to 20 minimum sessions done through video also. I believe its $580 for sessions, and same for lease of equipment. $1,160 total cost depending on how many "Management sessions" you may need.
